Due to the extreme cold weather that is forecast, school is cancelled for Thursday, January 23. 2014.
Some of the 4th and 5th grade students at King recently entered a music video contest. The video is now available through Music Express Magazine's website. There are students from across the country that are included in the video along with our King kids. We are so proud of the hard work and dedication from Miss Helmich and her students.
No School Tuesday, January 7Galesburg School District has postponed the Teachers' Institute previously scheduled for Monday, January 6, due to inclement weather. The Institute will instead be held on Tuesday, January 7, and students will return to classes on Wednesday, January 8.
As part of the No Child Left Behind Supplemental Education Services provision, students attending King Elementary, Cooke Elementary, Nielson Elementary and Steele Elementary and who qualify for the Free/Reduced Lunch Program can receive free tutoring.
